After obtaining a degree in Psychology from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, Mr. Elliott has had a colorful career which began as a law clerk for the Los Angeles Public Defender's Office, graduation from the University of Colorado School of Law, and serving as a law clerk for the Chief Justice of the Colorado Supreme Court. He was in civil tial practice for three years before he became a Colorado Assistant Attorney General and legal counsel for Metropolitan State College of Denver and the University of Northern Colorado. Subsequently, he became legal counsel for Regis College and Regis Jesuit High School operated by Regis Educational Corporation and Assistant to the President at Metropolitan State College. He was a partner with Thomas J. Kerwin as Kerwin and Elliott, and thereafter, entered his present private practice as A. Thomas Elliott, Jr,, P.C. in 1987, over twenty years ago.
He taught Travel Law and Hotel and Restaurant Law at Metro State College and has published articles on Recovery of Attorneys Fees in Civil Cases and Civil Commitment on the Basis of Alleged Menal Illness.
